Kurkure can be desi and sweet too,,

"Kuch meetha ho jaye,,now  It is time to change this slogan like  kuch desi ho jaye . Recently I have read in a newspaper about Non alcoholic fatty liver disease or NAFLD. Dengue and Malaria affect the rich and poor alike and so makes  headlines. Many citizens may not have heard of this disease (NAFLD ) . Here sugar is big culprit as it is converted into fat in the liver  . Chocolates sold in India had high level of added sugar high intake of sugar is linked to fatty liver in children . Long ago as we know people who drink too much   suffers  this  disorder like fatty liver .In our life the chocolate has been demonised as a poison .Prevention is better than cure this is wonderful proverb in the present scenario .But the affluent society of India is not attuned to this problem. Industrialized product like sugar should be avoided. Now time has come to accept humble jaggery . Jaggery is made without any chemical processing . Awareness and consumer education is vital without which prevention will not work .. This is the time to keep sugar out of reach of children .Gurdhani or Gurjhilia is very commonly found in street vendors. It is made with Besan and jaggery and looks like Kurkure .  We are now in the thick of this battle Chocolate or health-which do we chose .? ,
Can we learn to live without chocolate? Children and adults should be the part of awareness  drive in  cities and villages on the importance of Jaggery  .
