Unforgettable memories of a Sparrow

Ujjwala  sparrow is the official mascot of 
Khelo India Para Games -2023.Once upon a time this sparrow was a house -hold name in India . Biological name is Passer Domesticus but it is known by so many different names .In Urdu it is Chiria,in Hindi Gauraya,in Oriya Gharajetia,in Bangla Chorui Pakhi,,.
In Indian culture the sparrow is revered as a symbol of love and companionship and prosperity.Unfortunately this house bird is decreasing,or vanished from houses .It may be due to urbanization.Long ago I have 30 or 40 Gauraya in my house ,when I shifted in another house they also flied away .
During this period I have written this poem for  sparrows .
Title of the Poem "is मेरी  गौरैया,,
"कहां गयी प्यारी गौरैया
आज याद  तुम्हारी आई है
हफ्ते महीने साल गुज़रे
झलक तुमने नहीं दिखाई है।
चमकती सी एक भोर में 
मद्धिम ब्यार के साथ
आई थी तुम आंगन में
मौसम था हरियाली सावन का
कुछ मधुर _मधुर कुछ पावन सा ।
फूलों की पंखुड़ी सी कोमल
क्यों हो गई आंखों से ओझल?
क्या संकेत समझ लूं मौसम
बदल रहा है अपनी करवट?
या रुठ गई हमसे प्यारी गौरैया नटखट।
सावन आया फिर से
भोर सुहानी आई है
आंगन में लगता जैसे 
चहकने -फुदकने की आहट आई फिर से।
बहुत रुठना हो गया तेरा
वापस आ जा फिर से ।
ओ मेरी प्यारी गौरैया
आज याद तुम्हारी आई है ।

"अरे चलो-चलो स्कूल का समय हो गया है,विभव ने अपनी बेटियों रिया और रानी से बैग उठाते हुए कहा । तभी दरवाजे पर स्कूल वैन की हाॅर्न सुनाई दी । पहले ऑफिस घर के पास था लेकिन ट्रांसफर के बाद ऑफिस घर से बहुत दूर हो गया था जिस कारण से विभव को घर से जल्दी निकलना पड़ता था । ऑफिस आने -जाने के लिए रोज लोकल ट्रेन पकड़ना और कभी आराम से बैठ कर, कभी खड़े हो कर सफर करने की आदत सी हो गई थी । आज कुछ हलचल सी दिखाई दी प्लेटफार्म पर देखते ही देखते पचास -साठ लोग इक्कठा हो गये ।विभव ने पूछा यह भीड़ कैसी है। भीड़ में से आवाज़ आई सर जी, कोई व्यक्ति नवजात बिटिया को यहां कपड़े में लपेटकर छोड़ गया है।विभव ने मन ही मन में यह सवाल किया कहते हैं बेटियां लक्ष्मी का रुप होती हैं फिर इनके साथ यह कैसा अन्याय? विभव के  मन  में यह  विचार  आया रिया और रानी तो हैं क्यों न इस बिटिया को भगवान का उपहार समझ कर अपना लूं।विभव ने श्रद्धा भाव से विचार किया और साहस जुटा कर आगे बढ़ा भीड़ की विस्फरित आंखें उसे भीड़ से निकलता  हुआ देख रहीं थीं, तभी एक आवाज आई। आवाज में करुणा थी। मेरा नाम केशव राम है। मैं एक गरीब मज...

"Kuch meetha ho jaye,,now  It is time to change this slogan like  kuch desi ho jaye . Recently I have read in a newspaper about Non alcoholic fatty liver disease or NAFLD. Dengue and Malaria affect the rich and poor alike and so makes  headlines.Many citizens may not have heard of this disease (NAFLD ) . Here sugar is big culprit as it is converted into fat in the liver  . Chocolates sold in India had high level of added sugar high intake of sugar is linked to fatty liver in children . Long ago as we know people who drink too much   suffers  this  disorder like fatty liver .In our life the chocolate has been demonised as a poison .Prevention is better than cure this is wonderful proverb in the present scenario .But the affluent society of India is not attuned to this problem. Magazine with Memories

I have always been fond of reading.Looking back I can't forget how my father went above and beyond to encourage my love for reading  .My love for reading which was present in my school days has grown significantly. Due to fast-paced nature of digital media there is decline in reading habits . With the arrival of mobile phone, Laptop the habit of reading largely diminished among the youth.Reading newspaper and Magazine along with tea is no longer seen . Recently when I ransacked my store of the house ,I finally hit upon this great magazine of my father,s time. My father was an ardent reader of this magazine.This magazine  "Sunday,,was the biggest best seller of it's time.It was published from Anand Bazar publication.Once upon a time Mr M.J.Akbar has been editor of The Sunday,,.(1982 edition) . Now I don't know anything about this Magazine but this Magazine is imbued with memories....
